My father Stephen John Sharples sadly passed away at the beginning of March 2019.

Therefore, all performances are cancelled until further notice.

He will be dearly missed but the memories he has created will never be forgotten. Performing for over thirty years in hundreds of locations all over the UK and abroad, he received training for his skill in puppetry at the renowned Little Angel Theatre In Islington, London and Lok Kala Mandal In Udaipur, Rajasthan. He spread the wonder of puppetry and performance to young and old alike.

From theatres to schools, nurseries to nursing homes, museums to churches, fetes to fairs, weddings to birthdays, community centres to castles, from christenings to hospitals and streets up and down the country, his art has reached far and wide.

His passion for life, for love, for theatre, arts and performing brought joy and inspiration to many and offers a glimpse into the world of a performer. Challenging yet rewarding, creative yet practical, innovative yet traditional - and we should not forget that fun and magic are a must. The life of a puppeteer sounds fantastical - but if you do not believe in your dreams what can you believe in?

As the great Roald Dahl once said :

“Those who do not believe in magic will never find it.”
